Summary

Case study for Irbid, Jordan, of a solar chimney power plant fed with surplus hot air from a nuclear power plant and fitted with a desalination basin and electrolysis units, so that it yields electricity, fresh water, hydrogen and oxygen. Against a standard solar chimney, the coupled design roughly doubles every output, lifting annual electricity from 362 to 716 MWh and hydrogen from 13 to 25 tonnes.
