Summary

Laboratory tests on electrically heated solar chimney models of three sizes compare a conventional design with one fitted with a wire mesh screen, which lets the whole chimney act as a heat source. Across about 100 runs varying heater power and chimney height, the mesh version gave warmer outlet air and roughly 50–80% more airflow than the conventional one.
