Summary
A theoretical model of a solar chimney power plant's collector, chimney and turbine, fed with solar radiation and air temperature data recorded in Chlef, Algeria over roughly a year and a half, is used to simulate electricity output. The simulations, which vary chimney height to size a plant for local demand, show that plant geometry and climatic conditions strongly govern power generation.
