Summary
Experimental tests of a naturally ventilated crop dryer combining a black-painted collector with a chimney, run at several air inlet gap widths. The warmest zone lies at and just above the chimney base, which makes it the best place for the produce; with a 5 mm inlet gap, drying took about half as long as open sun drying.
