Summary
Develops a correlation for the airflow through rooftop solar chimneys based on the gap between absorber and glazing, the absorber and incoming air temperatures, and chimney height. Over usual roof pitches (30°–60°) the tilt barely changes the flow, and pairing the correlation with energy balances of the chimney components predicts flow markedly better than the standard stack effect formula.
