Summary

Combines a solar chimney with a passive evaporative cooler on office windows to cool the glass and cut cooling demand. A coupled heat and mass transfer model, checked against twin climatic chamber tests, shows the system lowers space load by about 20% and greatly reduces radiation asymmetry in Riyadh's hot, dry climate, while performing worse in humid locations.
