Summary

Theoretical assessment of solar chimney power plants at several Iranian locations, using an energy-balance model to predict electricity output and test how ambient conditions and plant dimensions affect it. A plant with a 350 m chimney and a large collector is estimated to supply roughly 1–2 MW on a monthly average basis throughout the year.
