Summary

A simplified one-dimensional heat and airflow model of a small solar chimney with a tilted absorber, checked against the authors' tests and literature data, shows how tilt, sunshine, outdoor temperature and wind affect outlet airflow. Raising the stack from 0.5 to 3 m boosts outlet speed by roughly half, a bigger absorber also helps, and doubling wind over the glazing cuts it slightly.
