Summary
A validated numerical model of a solar chimney that draws air through an earth-to-air heat exchanger is used to see how geometry and climate affect passive ventilation and cooling. Performance peaks with a 60 m buried pipe of 0.6 m diameter. Lengthening the collector helps more than raising the chimney, and stronger sunshine roughly doubles cooling capacity.
