Summary

An unsteady numerical model simulates airflow, pressure and temperature fields in a solar chimney combined with a seawater desalination still, running without load. The strongest negative pressure occurs where the collector meets the chimney, making it the best turbine location; reshaping that local passage raises draft and velocity and cuts energy losses while leaving freshwater output essentially unchanged.
