Summary
Theoretical model of a hybrid scheme in which salt-gradient solar ponds store heat and feed it to the collector of a solar chimney power plant so it can keep generating after sunset. Combined with a 5 MW daytime plant, suitably sized ponds could supply more than 2.21 MW at night, with output increasing as the hot brine's temperature and flow rate rise.
