Summary
A theoretical model coupling collector, chimney and turbine is solved iteratively, checked against data from a real plant, and used to predict how large commercial plants would perform. Plant size, turbine pressure-drop factor and solar heat flux strongly affect output. For a Thai village, the authors recommend a 200 m collector radius and 400 m chimney, with an optimal turbine pressure ratio near 0.84.
