Summary

Year-round OpenFOAM modelling with humidity transport examines a Basra building setup that pairs a solar chimney with underground air-cooling pipes and a moisture harvester, which traps humidity overnight and releases it as distilled water once the sun is up. From May through August, rooms stay near 18–21 °C, and water output peaks in July at roughly 485 g/h. Winter use requires a different layout.
