Summary

Proposes building a solar chimney along a sunlit mountain slope, so the collector and chimney merge into one sloped structure that is cheaper and more stable than a tall vertical tower. An energy-balance model estimates the outlet air temperature, velocity and kinetic power as functions of chimney size and materials, and shows that wind at the summit boosts the output.
