Summary

Three-dimensional ANSYS simulations of the Manzanares pilot solar chimney, checked against measured power output, explore how collector size and canopy height affect performance. Widening the collector raises output markedly, from about 55 kW at the reference radius to about 95 kW at 175 m, while a higher canopy reduces performance and a lower one gives a modest gain.
