Summary

Experimental small-scale solar chimney power plant, with a 2 m collector radius and 4 m tower, fitted with Glauber's salt as a latent heat store and tested at two collector inclinations. Adding the phase change material and changing the slope affected heating and airflow, with collector-outlet air reaching about 24 °C above ambient and peak collector efficiency near 9%.
