Summary
Examines how external wind changes the best design parameters of a wall-mounted solar chimney for building ventilation. With wind present, the optimal cavity depth rises from 0.2–0.3 m to 0.4–0.5 m, and the optimal inlet height grows too. Wind increases airflow through the room opening and lowers flow resistance, while solar intensity has little effect and strong winds dominate performance.
