Summary
A small pilot solar chimney power plant, with a 3 m collector and a 2 m tower, was built in Tehran and instrumented to track air temperature and velocity under varying collector inlet heights and weather. Narrowing the inlet improved performance, the chimney air ran up to about 26 °C above ambient, and no flow reversal appeared at the chimney outlet, an effect linked to geometry.
