Summary

Using a reduced-scale laboratory model run indoors, the authors vary tower height, entrance gap, roof slope and heater output on a square collector shaped to push air one way. Performance hinges on managing secondary currents: a lower entrance adds about 6.5% to the energy delivered to the airflow, and a steeper roof adds up to roughly 7%.
