Summary

Tests on a solar chimney used as a heat collector for an organic Rankine cycle examine how glazing, absorber shape, tilt, surface finish and airflow length affect output, with a Taguchi design reducing the number of runs. The best configuration gave air near 125 °C and about 65% collection efficiency, indicating the heat is suitable for driving an ORC.
