Summary
Tests on a small solar chimney power plant prototype in Ouargla, Algeria, with a 5 m square collector, examining how the height of the gap around the collector edge affects air heating. Narrower gaps produced warmer air, with a peak rise of about 38 °C over ambient driving flow near 3.5 m/s, enough to turn a turbine.
