Summary
Laboratory tests on a full-scale vertical solar chimney examine how heat flux and channel gap affect the internal velocity field. Stronger irradiation raises both airflow and speed, while a wider gap increases total flow but slows the air. Velocities peak near the heated walls, where velocity boundary layers develop, and drop toward the channel centre.
