Summary
A small prototype solar chimney power plant was built and tested in southern Algeria to see how geometry shapes performance. Varying the tower height and diameter and the height of the collector inlet revealed that these dimensions strongly affect the airflow speed under the collector and, in turn, the amount of energy the system can generate.
