Summary
A redesigned solar chimney built at a test site in Roorkee, India, was examined through field measurements, CFD modelling and a parametric analysis of its geometry. Simulations agreed well with measured data; the chimney delivered roughly 2.4–7.1 air changes per hour and cooled the test room by up to 4 °C, with best performance at a 60 mm air gap and a small glass tilt.
