Summary

A demonstration solar chimney was built and tested, and two collector modifications were compared: a longer collector base, which raised air temperature, and an intermediate absorber, which raised both temperature and airflow. Together they increased power output. The authors checked their Part I model against Manzanares plant data, used it to predict how larger plants would perform, and assessed system costs.
