Summary

A 12 m pilot solar chimney with solar stills placed under its collector was built and modelled to produce fresh water alongside the updraft. The stills slightly lowered inlet air speed and collector temperature, and heat stored in the water pushed the temperature peak later. Water output peaked in the evening at 861 g per hour, and shallower basin water raised the yield.
