Summary
A small-scale solar chimney fitted with two reflectors that concentrate sunlight onto it, plus an air tank beneath to capture reflected radiation, was tested outdoors and modelled with CFD using an RNG k–ε turbulence model. Concentrating the sunlight raised the airflow speed inside the chimney, and with it the power output, reaching a peak of about 5.1 m/s.
