Summary
Summer measurements on a tower solar chimney in the Basrah region examine how ambient temperature affects internal airflow and power output. Output rose as outdoor temperature increased, with peak air speed of about 2.9 m/s in early afternoon at roughly 46 °C. High humidity and frequent airborne dust were identified as key limiting factors, and a simplified energy and mass balance model was developed.
