Summary

Surface temperatures of a laboratory-scale solar chimney's glass collector and heat-absorbing floor were recorded at five radial locations and linked to irradiance and air temperature through quadratic fits. Letting each fit coefficient vary with distance from the centre produced one model covering both surfaces everywhere, which matched the measured data well (R² about 0.97–0.98).
