Summary

Simulations of a naturally ventilated pig house fitted with a solar chimney test chimney heights from 0.85 to 2.55 m, checking CFD results against theoretical calculations. Taller chimneys increased the indoor airflow rate and lowered the temperature, with both trends strongly correlated with height, and the CFD model matched more than 95% of the theoretical values.
