Summary
Numerical simulations, validated against Manzanares pilot-plant data, examine how a solar chimney power plant built into a high-rise building performs when scarce urban land limits the collector to a partial sector. Shrinking the sector skews the airflow at the chimney base; below about 120° a strong swirl fills the tower, and power falls from roughly 47 kW with a full circle to 26 kW.
