Summary
Experiments at Universiti Malaysia Sabah compare an uncooled photovoltaic module with two chimney-assisted versions, one of them holding a stainless-steel mesh inside its duct. Adding a chimney raised module efficiency by as much as 15% and lowered its temperature by roughly 15%. The mesh limited reverse flow of cool air at the top opening, which kept the panel cooler and made that configuration the best.
