Summary

Numerical model of the airflow in the collector of a solar chimney power plant, built on the mass, momentum and energy conservation equations and solved iteratively. Temperature, velocity and pressure fields are computed for the climate of Adrar in southern Algeria under changing ambient temperature and irradiance, and the predictions match measurements from the Manzanares prototype well.
