Summary

Simulations of a Manzanares-scale solar chimney power plant sited in Tozeur, southern Tunisia, combining a 3D Fluent model with a faster in-house transient code driven by real weather data. The plant yields roughly 150 MWh of electricity per year, and comparing three ground storage materials shows that storage lifts output by about 35%, with the released-to-stored energy ratio varying mainly by season.
