Summary

CFD simulations of a solar chimney and the open air around it in Tehran test whether its induced airflow can clear polluted air nearby and improve the air quality index. Collector size matters most: going from a 200 m to a 1000 m radius makes the cleaned area about 11 times larger. Making the chimney taller adds little, and a deeper pollution layer is the main constraint on performance.
