Summary

Coupled CFD and thermal simulations, using Code_Saturne with Syrthes and Adrar (Algeria) weather data, examine how tilting the collector roof affects a solar chimney power plant, with soil-only storage or soil plus a 10 cm water layer. Entropy-generation minimisation guides the geometry; added water storage extends post-sunset operation, and the better slope raises chimney inlet velocity.
