Summary

Experiments on a 2 m tall solar chimney, heated electrically to imitate sunlight on both its absorber and glazing, tested how heat input and air-gap width affect natural airflow in a hot, humid climate. At best it produced about 51 air changes per hour, roughly what a paint booth needs, which points to its use for passive ventilation.
