Summary
Proposes a fluctuation factor to quantify output-power variability in solar chimney power plants and models replacing conventional sandstone ground storage with a combined water–sandstone layer. Simulations show the hybrid storage smooths power output, with an optimal water layer depth of about 5 cm for maximum daily generation or 20 cm for minimum peak fluctuation.
