Summary

An analytical model is used to evaluate natural ventilation in buildings from a wind tower combined with a solar chimney. The chimney matters most when wind is weak: at 1 m/s wind speed, the combined system nearly doubles the airflow of the wind tower alone, raising it from about 0.75 to 1.4 kg/s.
