Summary

CFD model of a solar chimney for building ventilation that uses a horizontal absorber plate instead of the usual vertical or inclined channel. Air flowrate rises with heat flux, absorber length, channel gap and inlet/outlet dimensions, while thermal efficiency barely changes. An outlet that is too wide lowers both flow and efficiency because air flows back in at the exit.
