Summary

Simulations of a building-integrated solar chimney fitted with photocatalytic reactors show it can break down atmospheric methane without energy input while keeping indoor ventilation within standards. Honeycomb reactors outperform plate-type ones, and the best configuration, with a 0.3 m air gap, removes about 57 μg/s of methane.
