Summary
CFD simulations of a single-storey room ventilated by a windcatcher coupled with a solar chimney and a corrugated earth-to-air heat exchanger, run at wind speeds from 0.5 to 1.5 m/s. Each component lowered indoor temperatures, the corrugated exchanger giving the largest cooling while keeping ventilation adequate, and indoor air velocities rose with outdoor wind speed.
